ROCHESTER - Lola S. "Billie" Cox, 89, died Friday March 27, 2015 at the Colonial Hill Nursing Home in Rochester, N.H.
Born August 21, 1925 in Gonic, N.H. she was the daughter of the late William Earl and Beatrice Alma (White) Davis.
Lola was a lifelong resident of Rochester.
She was employed at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital as a nurse anesthesiologist for 37 years until her retirement.
She is a past board member of the Rochester Visiting Nurses Association, a volunteer with the Well Child Clinic. Past member of the Order of the Eastern Star James Farringdon Chapter #7 in Rochester. She volunteered at the thrift Shop at the Trinity Anglican Church, where she was also devoted member, a life member of Pittsburg Ridge Runner Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo.
Members of her family include her Stepson, Norman L. Cox and wife Patricia, brother in law, Francis Cox and wife, Marge, former daughter in-law, Kathleen Jackson, a nephew, Rex Hartley and wife Fay, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Alvah L. Cox SR in 1994, a brother, E.G. Hartley and a sister, Marion Creteau, a stepson, Alvah L. Cox, Jr.
