Longterm-care facility outbreak helps put virus-case count at highest in months

CONCORD - DHHS announced 123 new positive test results for COVID-19, for a daily PCR test positivity rate of 1.2 percent, including 35 associated with an outbreak at an undisclosed long-term care facility and 20 under 18. There were five new cases identified among Strafford County residents. Two new hospitalized cases were identified for a current total of 21. Locally, active case numbers showed 10 in Rochester and 12 in Dover, 1-4 in Somersworth, Farmington and Milton and none in Barrington and Strafford. DHHS also announced five additional deaths related to COVID-19, all 60 or older.
