ROCHESTER - Lorraine Rose, 78, died Friday, January 15, 2016, at her home following a period of failing health.
Born April 1, 1937, in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of Arthur Ellis and Grace (Princiotta) Light.
A graduate of the Dorchester High School for Girls Class of 1954, Ms. Rose had worked for many years at Davidson Rubber and Textron Industries.
Lorraine loved shopping with her friends, caring for animals, cooking, watching movies, knitting and crocheting.
Members of her family include her daughters Anne Marie Rose of Acushnett, Mass.; Deborah Leathe of Farmington, N.H.; and Tammy Boucher and husband Eric of Somersworth, N.H.; her grandchildren Ayla, Isabella, and Jennifer, one son-in-law Scott Leathe, one sister Dorothy O'Brien of Harwich, Mass.; a nephew Steven Tavares and his wife Nancy of Dennis, Mass.; and her beloved cat Chance.
She was predeceased by her son Rick Rose in 1990, her brother-in-law Dennis O'Brien and her partner of 30+ years Raymond Parcell in 2010.
