CONCORD - An arrest has been made in connection with the death of a male toddler in Loudon.
The baby has been identified as Colton Emery, 23 months, and is presumed to have occurred on Tuesday, the state's Attorney General's office announced late Friday.
Douglas Barton, 39, of Loudon, was arrested on Friday in Manchester. He was charged with second-degree murder for allegedly recklessly causing the death of Emery "under circumstances manifesting in extreme indifference to the value of human life, by physically assaulting Colton Emery multiple times," according to the AG's statement.
New Hampshire State Police and Manchester Police made the arrest.
The investigation remains open and active.
