Main Street annual meeting, awards presentation set for Tuesday

ROCHESTER - Rochester Main Street will hold its 2019 Annual Meeting and 2018 Downtown Awards breakfast on Tuesday.

This event serves to highlight Main Street's program, note upcoming events, and advise on strategic direction. Representatives of Main Street look forward to sharing the program's direction for the future of downtown with area stakeholders, downtown business owners and managers, area residents, and city officials.

This event will also award specific downtown businesses and individuals with recognition for continued dedication to Rochester. Past award recipients include Sweet Peach's Candy and Confections as Best New Business of 2017, Collec-tiques as Business of the Year in 2016, and Revolution Taproom and Grill with the Stewardship Award in 2016, among many others.

Awards for 2018 include Volunteer of the Year, Board Member of the Year, and Best New Sign.

The 2018 Award recipients will be presented during the breakfast and will be publicly announced after the event.

This year's meeting start at 7:30 a.m. at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital conference center.

Rochester Main Street is a downtown-based nonprofit business development organization with a focus on historic preservation. It seeks to enhance the district through promotional events, beautification, business strengthening, and public awareness.
