Maine man gets 98 months for 2016 bank robbery

PORTLAND, Maine - A Belgrade man was sentenced to 98 months on Monday for a 2016 bank robbery in Manchester..

Clinton Damboise, 47, will also serve three years of supervised release and must pay $3,179 in restitution. Damboise pleaded guilty on September 27, 2021.

According to court records, in September 2016, Damboise entered the Camden National Bank in Manchester and told the teller, "This is a robbery, not a joke" while gesturing to the waistband of his jacket and saying he had a gun. The teller handed Damboise cash, and he fled. Damboise, who was not wearing a mask, was identified by the teller and by the bank's security camera footage.

The FBI, Maine State Police, Kennebec County Sheriff's Office and Southington (Connecticut) Police Department investigated the case.
