ROCHESTER - Last Sunday'S Make-A-Wish fund-raiser at The Garage at the Governors Inn was a great day for the foundation, for musicians and music lovers.

Many people enjoying the day could not remember the last time they had seen a band play live, let alone a lineup of bands. It was kind of a coming out for people and the bands. And only a few days after New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu dropped the mask mandate, there were very few visible.

It was a refreshing breath of air that even included a visit from some Superheroes from the Rolling Smiles group.

But the real hero of the day was Terri Ferry, benefit organizer. She and long-time supporter Mike Frampton have both had grandchildren who have been recipients of the Make-A-Wish program and have given back many times over the years.

"I'd like to thank everyone involved in the Make-A-Wish benefit...the bands, Anthony at the Governor's Inn, the sound people and everybody that showed up. It was epic," Frampton said. "Really great to see everybody, I'm honored to be able to play music in front of you; this was one of the best days ever."

Jerry Drouin of Texas Pete was also pleased, he said.

The benefit ended up raising $3,462, organizers said.
