Man arrested in downtown Farmington arson

FARMINGTON, N.H. - A Farmington man was arrested on arson charges Friday after a car and nearby downtown building were destroyed in a Thursday fire. Conrad Parent, 33, who is thought to have grown up in Rochester, is alleged to have set a Chevrolet Camaro ablaze around 4:45 p.m. The fire quickly spread to a three-story building at 480 Main St. Parent was taken to the Strafford County House of Corrections pending a Monday arraignment. Police did not disclose any possible motive for the alleged arson.
