Man arrested in downtown Farmington arson

Conrad Parent

FARMINGTON, N.H. - A Farmington man was arrested on arson charges Friday after a car and nearby downtown building were destroyed in a Thursday fire.

Conrad Parent, 33, who is thought to have grown up in Rochester, is alleged to have set a Chevrolet Camaro ablaze around 4:45 p.m. The fire quickly spread to a three-story building at 480 Main St.
One firefighter suffered what appeared to be smoke inhalation and was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

Parent was taken to the Strafford County House of Corrections pending a Monday arraignment.

Police did not disclose any possible motive for the alleged arson.
