Man charged with possession after assistance call

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested for drug possession on Friday night after police got a call to come to his house for assistance.

David J. Brown, 30, of 12 Seasons Lane, was charged with possession of a controlled drug, a Class B felony punishable by up to seven years in state prison.

Brown was freed on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and given an arraignment date next month at Rochester District Court.

The incident began around 7:30 p.m. when police got a call for assistance from his residence. As part of the officer's investigation Brown was arrested for possession. No other information on the arrest was immediately available today.
