LEBANON - A man was found dead inside his car early today after Lebanon Fire and EMS crews were called to the area of Little River Road at the Grist Mill bridge for a reported accident.

The call came in around 12:40 a.m. Upon arrival, crews found the vehicle off the bridge, on its roof and in the water.

A single male occupant found in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crews spent several hours while two heavy wreckers removed the vehicle from the water. The scene was cleared around 4:45 a.m.

This accident is under investigation by the Maine State Police. This story will be updated later today.
