Manhunt on for prisoner who escaped during Laconia jail transport

CONCORD, N.H. - The New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force has is looking for the public's help in locating a Belknap County prisoner who escaped from a transport vehicle in Laconia on Thursday.

Tamara Ipock, who has ties to Belknap and Merrimack counties, escaped during an afternoon transport when she was able to free herself from one of her handcuffs and flee from the transport vehicle.

The escape happened in the area of Union Avenue and Court Street in Laconia around 3:30 p.m.

Ipock was last seen wearing an orange Merrimack County Corrections prisoner uniform. She is described as 5'02" and 120 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

She also has several identifiable tattoos, including; on her right ankle - four leaf clover; left ankle - flower and moon; right upper arm - butterfly; and neck - zodiac symbol.

Ipock is currently wanted for the escape, as well as two outstanding Belknap County warrants for failure to appear on narcotic charges.
