"BOOKS for BIKES" reading incentive challenge !
With National School Library Month - National Library Week - Unplugged week & April vacation -
this is the perfect time for the Books for Bikes challenge !
This event is sponsored by the Lebanon American Legion Post # 214 in cooperation with
Walmart. Two bicycles are being generously donated for the top girl and top boy readers !
This year this event is open to our 2nd & 3rd grade students, both at the Hanson School as
well as home schooled children. You can print a reading log from the website (which you can
access through the school website), the Town Office, the Hanson School Office or at the
Martha Sawyer Community Library during regular business hours : Mon./Wed./Fri. 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm Sat. 9 am - 12 noon
Books for Bikes will start April 1st and ends April 30th. You can turn in your
reading logs throughout the month. However, they MUST be turned in NO LATER than MAY 1st to be considered !
April 8th through April 12th is UNPLUGGED WEEK !
It is a great week to come visit the library ! Come and
sign up for a library card - pick out a great book

* Make your own bookmarks ! There are lots of ways to make bookmarks - come join
us and see kinds we will be making !

National Library Workers Day ~ April 16th
National Library week is April 14th - 20th
Saturday - April 20th the M.S.C.L. will be observing "Earth Day"!
Even though "Earth Day" is not until the 22nd - we wanted to get
a head start at the Martha Sawyer Community Library !
Here at the Martha Sawyer Community Library, we want to do our part in
celebrating "Earth Day". We will be making various crafts from recycled
materials. Different crafts will be available to make previously chosen for
various age ranges.
