ROCHESTER - An out-of-state arrest warrant for the Massachusetts man suspected of stealing Girl Scout cookie money from a table outside the Rochester Walgreens last month has yet to be filed, but Rochester Police say it could be executed at any moment.

Pierre Thibault, 20, of 127 Winter St., Haverhill, Mass., allegedly grabbed the money box from where the Scouts were selling the sweet confections March 27, then fled in a green Toyota allegedly driven by Kayla Lonergan.

Lonergan, 19, of Common Street, Rochester, was arrested on March 29 and arraigned on criminal liability for the conduct of another, namely Thibault, as well as other charges.

She is being held on $7,500 cash bail pending a June trial date and faces a year in jail on a bail violation charge. As of today Lonergan had not made bail and was still being held at Strafford County House of Corrections.

Thibault, meanwhile, remains at large. Rochester Police Captain Gary Boudreau said an arrest warrant has been filed within New Hampshire, but as of yet not Massachusetts, where Thibault lives and may well be.

Boudreau said on Monday that a county prosecutor would have to sign off on a possible extradition from Massachusetts if that is where Thibault is found.

If that happens Thibault will be entered on the National Crime Info Computer, and police in Massachusetts or elsewhere would see the arrest warrant was out if he were pulled over for a traffic stop or interviewed on any other possible infraction. If located and arrested Thibault faces a year in jail on misdemeanor Class A theft charges. The amount of cash in the cookie money box has not been disclosed, though WMUR reported that some of it fell out as Thibault allegedly grabbed it from the table.
