Meredith construction contractor indicted in thefts

CONCORD - The U.S. Attorneys Office on Wednesday announced the indictment of a Meredith construction business owner on two Class A felony counts of theft by unauthorized taking.

The first indictment alleges that between October 30, 2018 and December 31, 2019, pursuant to a course of conduct, Alexander Tocci d/b/a ACT Construction obtained or exercised unauthorized control over more than $1500 of the victim's money, with a purpose to deprive them thereof.

The second indictment alleges that between April 2, 2018 and December 31, 2019, pursuant to a course of conduct, Tocci, 34, obtained or exercised unauthorized control over more than $1,500 of another victim's.

Class A felonies and are punishable by up to 7 ½-15 years at the New Hampshire State Prison and/or a maximum fine of $4,000 for each charge. An indictment is merely an accusation, and Tocci is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
