ROCHESTER - Michael Gigliotti, 68, of 75 Stillwater Circle, died Saturday, November 11, 2017, at his home after living a full life with cancer for two years. He was born January 5, 1949 in Haverhill, Mass., the son of the late Albert and Shirley (Ferguson) Gigliotti.
He proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War from 1967-1971 and at that time was exposed to Agent Orange. Michael worked as a sheet metal mechanic early in his career and then became a manager supervising teams at other shipyards all over the country. Michael was a proud Union member and served as President of Local 546 Sheet Metal Workers for several years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge# 1393 of Rochester.
Michael loved to ride his Harley Davidson and sing karaoke. He and his wife spent many hours riding all over this country on the motorcycle singing.
Members of his family include his wife of 25 years, Deborah Emery- Gigliotti; son, Michael A. Gigliotti and companion, Roxanne Frank of Brentwood, N.H.; daughter, Tricia Gigliotti Burke and husband Nathan of Greenland, N.H.; grandchildren, Skylar Burke, Holden Burke, Olivia Gigliotti and Alistair Rowell; brother, Jack Gigliotti and his wife Lynn; sisters, Karen Agnew and husband Tom, Kathy Fraza and husband Norman, Mary Gigliotti, several nieces, nephews, and family members. He was predeceased by brother, Louis Gigliotti, sister, Beverly Sheehan, nephew, Jeff Fraza.
