DOVER, N.H. - A Milton man has been indicted in the a felony criminal threatening case for allegedly brandishing a knife while saying he was going to "slice" another man.

Matthew Desilva, 26, of 15 Meadowbrook Drive, is charged with making the threat on June 8 in Milton.

Desilva faces a three and a half to seven year prison term and a $4,000 fine if convicted.

Court records say he waved the knife at the potential victim while making the threats, placing the man in fear of imminent injury.

A Strafford County grand jury handed down the indictment last month.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been found to warrant a trial.

Desilva, who is currently free on personal recognizance, will have his initial appearance in Superior Court on Friday.
