Milton man indicted in dirt bike theft case

Dustin Rice

DOVER, N.H. - A Milton man faces up to seven years in state prison after his indictment in a theft case involving a dirt bike in Rochester.

Dustin Rice, 21, of 14 Pineland Park and formerly of Kennebec Drive, Lebanon, is charged with receiving stolen property and falsifying physical evidence in connection with the case which occurred in November.

Court documents say that on Nov. 2 Rice took possession of the Yamaha dirt bike knowing it had probably been stolen and then between Nov. 8-10 hid it to conceal its whereabouts from police who had begun an investigation.

Both charges are Class B felonies punishable by up to seven years in prison apiece.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down Feb. 19 and made public on Thursday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has determined there is enough evidence to warrant a trial.
