Milton man taken into custody had three bench warrants

ROCHESTER - A Milton man wanted on three Superior Court bench warrants was taken into custody early Thursday after a call into Rochester Police dispatch indicated there was someone either sleeping or passed out in a vehicle parked outside the city's Walgreen's Drug Store around 2:30 a.m.

On arrival police were able to identify the subject as Heath S. Ellis, 38, of Hydro Plant Road, who was confirmed by the Strafford County Sheriff's Office to have one capias out of Rockingham County on a 2020 heroin possession charge; one out of Strafford County on a 2021 controlled drug charge, and another out of Strafford County on a conditional release violation.

Ellis was also charged with theft by deception, driving after revocation/suspension and false report to law enforcement.

He was remanded to Strafford County Jail, where he remains today, according to a jail spokesman.
