MILTON - Wednesday night's spaghetti dinner fund-raiser to benefit the building of a Nute High softball field behind Milton Elementary School raised almost $1,000.

Nute AD Jane Weymouth credited student fund-raising liaison Devon Hurley in doing an "outstanding" job of organizing and presenting at the event.

The effort to complete the field still is in need of thousands of dollars to finish the project, with fund-raising signs around town set to keep townspeople up to date on their continuing generosity.
