ROCHESTER - A Milton woman was injured and later cited in a two-car collision in Rochester on Saturday amid severe thunder storms rumbling through the region.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Betts and Cross roads around 5:50 p.m. when police say Theresa Tracia, 62 of Milton, was driving her 2005 Jeep Liberty eastbound on Betts Road when she failed to stop at the intersection with Cross Road and struck a 2015 Mercedes driven by Aleigh Toof, 17, of Rochester, as it was heading northbound on Cross.

The collision caused the Liberty to roll onto its driver's side.

Toof, who was wearing a seat belt at the time was able to walk away from the collision with no injuries.

Tracia, who was also wearing a seat belt, was trapped in her vehicle until fire and EMS personnel were able to extricate her. She was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as minor injuries.

Tracia was issued a summons for failing to stop at the posted stop sign. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
