LEBANON - Moe R. Simard, 72, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at Wentworth Douglass Hospital following a period of failing health.

Born July 29, 1942, in Salem, Mass. he was the son of the late Allard and Laurentia (Harvey) Simard. Upon marrying Donna Horne, Moe made his home in Lebanon, where they raised three children Scott, Kevin and Heather.

After retiring from Thompson Center Arms, he pursued his passion of the Martial Arts and opened Moe's Tae Kwon Do in Lebanon, Maine. As instructor, Sabumnim's humility and integrity impacted the lives of many, as they did his.

Moe is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna; his children Scott and wife Katie of Bethel, Conn.; Kevin and wife Melanie of Stoneham, Mass; Heather of Chicago, Ill; Raymond of Salem, Mass.; and Suzanne of Sanford, Maine four grandchildren, two brothers Gerard and wife Evelyn of Jay, Maine; and Paul and wife Paula of Beverly, Mass.; along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Alice Macek and Gloria Simard.
