SANFORD - A male motorcyclist injured in a Thursday collision in Sanford was Medflighted to Maine Medical Center in Portland with a serious head injury, according to Sanford Police.

The man's motorcycle crashed into an SUV at the corner of Main Street and Pleasant Avenue around 7 p.m.

The SUV operator was treated for minor injuries and released.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.
