ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested on drug possession and other charges on Monday after the driver of the car he was riding in was pulled over on North Main Street for using his cellphone.

While officers were on scene they learned that Christopher Scott Bokesz 38, of 11 Farmington Road, Apt. #4, a passenger in the car, was wanted on several bench warrants on child support, driving after suspension and simple assault charges.

As police were searching him prior to transport they found Bokesz also had Benzodiazepine pills in his possession without a prescription.

Bokesz was taken to Strafford County Jail and was set to be arraigned on the charges today.

The driver, meanwhile, got off with a warning.
