Munch Madness ending with a Final Five

ROCHESTER - Munch Madness, a tournament of Rochester restaurant offerings that coincides with the annual NCAA basketball playoffs, is now in its final day, with bragging rights on the line. Voting ends at midnight tonight and tomorrow we will know the NCAA men's basketball champion and the Rochester Munch Madness winner as well. Each participating restaurant is offering a special item through tonight, and patrons are encouraged to go online and vote for their favorite restaurant. The winning restaurant will receive a plaque and the title of 2015 Munch Madness Champion (complete with bragging rights for one year). This promotion showcases the diversity of dining options in Rochester and encourages patrons to try different house specialties, although no purchase is necessary to cast your vote. Voting began on March 17. The most recent tabulations show results as follows heading into today: the leading five restaurants with the most votes are: (in no particular order) Bella Fresca, Lilac City Grille, Windjammers Seafood, with Papaya Thai and Granite Steak & Grille in a tie.
