ROCHESTER - Muriel I. Witham, 90, a resident of Riverside Rest Home, Dover, and formerly of 8N Fuchsia Drive, Rochester, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Hyder Hospice House in Dover.
Muriel was born Sept. 1, 1924, in East Rochester, the daughter of the late William and Mary Frances (Witham) Gilmore.
Muriel was a graduate of Spaulding High School. She retired from General Electric Company in 1986. She enjoyed sewing and made more than 300 dresses to be shipped to Nicaragua. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and the Circle of Friends in East Rochester.
Members of her family include her daughter, Paula Stevens; grandson, Jim Stevens, and his wife, Falon; great-grandson, Chase Stevens; sister, Barbara (Gilmore) Crisp; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Norris Witham; brothers, William, Samuel, Robert, Arnold, and Richard; and sister, Peggy Raab.
