N.H. Voices: Rochester woman seeks to raise $$$ to help treat mental illness

I am from and live in Rochester. I am choosing to walk for the NAMI 5k Walk on October 6th in Concord, NH. The reason why I am choosing to walk for NAMI is that I have struggled with mental illness my entire life and I know the hardships and the recovery of mental illness.
Recently, I was in the hospital because of my mental illness, and the time that I have spent trying to rise above, I started researching things that I could do. Because mental illness runs in my family, and within myself, I felt strongly to walk for those that struggle with mental illness. I have created a team, I am the team captain, and I am raising money for NAMI.
NAMI stands for National Alliance for Mental Illness, and provides resources, groups, and advocates for those that are struggling with a mental illness. I figured being a part of the NAMI 5k Walk would help give me purpose and meet other people going through similar things.
The walk starts at 9 a.m., but the walk starts at 10 a.m. There will be live music, entertainment and a bbq at the walk. It will be located at the Soccer Field on S Fruit St. in Concord.
If you would like to join my team called In This Together, or donate, please follow my link at https://www.namiwalks.org/participant/Brittany-Eldridge. You can click the button Join My Team or you can click on the button Donate. My goal is $1,000. I feel that there is a lack of resources in the mental health world, and so many people go untreated, remain on waiting lists, politics and stigma. I want to get this recognized.
