Nashua teenager dies in crash on Everett Turnpike

MERRIMACK - A 17-year-old resident of Nashua died on Saturday after the vehicle there were driving lost control on the Everett Turnpike and crashed.

The accident occurred around 8:05 a.m., when the teen's 2006 Toyota Corolla was headed southbound in the town of Merrimack just south of Exit 10 and traveled down an embankment into trees.

The operator succumbed to injuries resulting from the accident while on scene.

Initial reports indicate that the Toyota was traveling southbound in the left lane when the vehicle crossed into the right lane and then continued off the right side of the roadway, police say. The victim's name is being held pending notification of next of kin.

The right lane was shut down for around three hours while emergency personnel worked at the scene. All aspects remain under investigation and anyone who may have witnessed it is asked to contact Trooper N. Quintiliani at Nicholas.Quintiliani@dos.nh.gov or 603-223-4381.
