CONCORD - New confirmed COVID-19 cases continued at their elevated levels as they have this week, but hospitalizations continue to drop.
New Hampshire's DHHS announced 56 new cases on Saturday, including two residents who had to be hospitalized.
The state has now seen 1,342 cases in all.
New cases include residents of Rockingham (16), Strafford (8), Merrimack (3), Cheshire (1), Grafton (1), and Sullivan (1) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (21) and Nashua (5).
DHHS also announced one additional death related to COVID-19, a female resident of Hillsborough County 60 years of age or older.
Also on Saturday, Gov. Chris Sununu, Boeing President and CEO Dave Calhoun, inventor Dean Kamen, and members of New Hampshire's Congressional Delegation welcomed a Boeing 737-700 filled with Personal Protective Equipment, including some 540,000 medical-grade face masks. This shipment was part of the same deal that Kamen facilitated earlier that brought 91,000 pounds of PPE to New Hampshire last weekend.
As part of that deal, the State of New Hampshire purchased the entire shipment of PPE and will be distributing supplies to the areas of greatest need across the state as part of its ongoing effort to respond to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The state will not be charging those that receive shipments.

Meanwhile, in Maine, that state total of confirmed coronavirus cases now stands at 514, with 036 hospitalized and 32 deaths. The number of confirmed cases in York County is now at 176 with six deaths.
