New Durham man arrested in Rochester credit union robbery

ROCHESTER - Rochester Police arrested an area man Tuesday night in connection with the robbery of a Northeast Credit Union branch earlier in the day.

Jarrod Hoage, 27, of 64 Valley Road, New Durham, was taken into custody around 7:45 p.m., about six hours after the robbery.

The incident occurred a little before 1:40 p.m. when police say a lone male entered the Northeast Credit Union at 694 Columbus Ave. and handed the teller a note demanding cash.

The male then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

State Police responded with a K-9, however the track was unsuccessful.

Last night's arrest was made at Hoage's residence.

He refused bail and will be arraigned later today at Strafford County Superior Court.
