Even in a pandemic, a blessed event is a blessed event, and New Hampshire is among the best places to have it happen, a new nationwide report concludes.

And as in all things money plays a key role in the stress department, which also makes the Granite State shine, ranked second in affordability for Cesarean delivery and third in normal delivery.

The average conventional delivery is more than $10,000, according to the WalletHub report released today on 2020's Best and Worst States to Have a Baby.

To determine the most ideal places in the U.S. for parents and their newborns, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 32 key measures of cost, health care accessibility and baby-friendliness. The data set ranges from hospital conventional-delivery charges to annual average infant-care costs to pediatricians per capita.

Having a Baby in New Hampshire (1=Best; 25=Avg.):
