©ROCHESTER - The Rochester motorcyclist injured in Monday's horrific collision with an SUV remains in critical condition a third straight day up at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Donna Smith, 56, was riding her 2002 Suzuki VL800 north on Milton Road in the area of Dunkin' Donuts around 12:30 p.m. when it collided with a 2000 GMC Yukon, operated by Amanda Anderson, 28, of Rochester, according to police.

Police say it appeared that Anderson crossed the center line as if she were making a U-turn.

Rochester Police, Fire and Frisbie EMS, arrived on scene to find Smith lying in the road several feet from her motorcycle.

Lifeflight of Maine, which began servicing the region out of Sanford just last month, was on the scene within minutes of being called and Medflighted Smith up to Maine Med.

The Strafford County Regional Accident Reconstruction Team continues their investigation of the accident.

Rochester Police Capt. Jason Thomas said today it is still to be determined if any charges arise as a result of the crash.
