The nonprofit New Hampshire Center for Public Interest Journalism has received a $50,000 grant from the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to increase in-depth, independent news coverage in Coos County and surrounding communities.

The Center posts their reporting on the Coos County area on InDepthNH.org.

"Journalism faces many serious challenges today and we think it's time we should work together," said executive director Nancy West.

"Our mission is to augment in-depth coverage of important news stories that might otherwise go unreported because of the decrease in the number of reporters working today," Ms. West said. "We want to help fill in the coverage gaps to fully inform the people of New Hampshire. We are grateful that this grant will help us do that."
