Norman Rocheleau ... retired from GE; former MB bagger

MILTON - Norman "Rocky" Rocheleau, 86, left this world on December 27, 2020 to join members of his family and friends who have passed before him never again to feel the pain and suffering of Dementia. He was born in Dover November 1934 the son of Clifford and Yvonne (Fortier) Rocheleau.

Norman was a true people person making new friends along the way and always going out of his way to help someone or brighten their day with his quick wit! He spread kindness and laughter wherever he went. He always worked very hard and took great pride in his work whether working in the meter department at General Electric (1952 -1988) or building and repairing housing at UNH, he always showed up and gave it his all! Post retirement he worked as a bagger at Market Basket on the Milton Road in Rochester. He thoroughly enjoyed talking to all of the customers and making the children laugh! He spread kindness throughout and truly was "One in a Million"! In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson "I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show for any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again." Norman made every day count!

Norman served in the National Guard and was a CYO basketball Coach in Rochester. He loved to putter around in his yard, and take leisurely rides on his boat. One of his favorite things to do was to take his grandchildren out on the boat tubing and fishing and then grilling burgers, hotdogs and steamers for them after. As a testament to his BIG HEART, he found great joy in helping people fix and build things. He was a skilled carpenter who loved building things for his grandchildren, family and friends. Among his hobbies he enjoyed playing golf, tennis and basketball. He loved to dance, play bridge and challenge anyone to a rousing game of cribbage!

He is survived by his 3 children Deb Cuddahy, Lynne Rocheleau and Michael Rocheleau, 7 Grandchildren Bre, Bethany, Eric, Cameron, Adam, Beau and Courtney, and his 8 Great Grandchildren Zachary, Ava, Mason, Ashton, Isabel, Wyatt, Sophia and Easton.
