NORTH BERWICK - A North Berwick man died Thursday when his car veered off Route 4 and struck a tree.
Alexander Holland, 25, was driving a 2005 Mercedes station wagon northbound near Cahoon Lane around 10 p.m. when he went off the southbound side of the road.
Holllland was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
Route 4 was closed for several hours due to the accident.

Alcohol or drugs are thought to be factors in the crash.
