If today feels like a breath of fresh air or a precursor to comfortable fall weather, you're not alone.
After suffering through a stunning five-day heat wave, temps finally move back into the 80s today, but it won't exactly be the cooldown you may have hoped for.
The heat index will still be up around 95, with high humidity, but the UV index, which had been "very high" during the heat wave falls back to moderate at a Level 3.
Along with about a 15-degree temperature drop from Sunday, today will also see a little breeze with gusts up to 13 mph. Today's weather will also see feature winds during violent, drenching thunderstorms that could pop up throughout the day.

Thankfully, Rochester Police on Sunday reported no heat-related emergencies.
Meanwhile, if anyone got up overnight to powder their nose or make a sandwich, they would have noticed that once they left their air conditioned bedroom they were met with stifling near 90-degree temperatures, especially on any second or third-story floors.
Last night's low was only in the mid-70s meaning that heat trapped from Sunday's near record warmth languished inside homes.
The Rochester Voice recorded the temperature shown in the photo attached while driving in West Lebanon, Maine, near downtown Milton. It was the highest we saw on a drive that included travel to Rochester.
The week will see high temps in the mid- to upper-80s with thunderstorms predicted today and Friday.
Meanwhile, officials in Boston announced that the 2022 Boston Triathlon was moved from Sunday to Aug. 21.
