CONCORD - A registered nurse from New Boston has agreed not to practice after she was arrested earlier this month for alleged abuse of a facility patient.

Deputy Attorney General Jane E. Young made the announcement on Thursday that Nancy A. Waller, 65, entered into a preliminary agreement not to practice with the New Hampshire Board of Nursing, effective April 19.

Waller had been licensed to practice as a registered nurse since 1987.

The New Boston Police Department arrested Waller on April 8 on charges of abuse of a facility patient, second degree assault, and simple assault.

Waller is accused of breaking a patient's fingers and obstructing medical treatment.

The case is being prosecuted in the Hillsborough County Superior Court - North.

The name of the elder care facility was not disclosed.
