ROCHESTER - Dennis Michael Devereaux, 56, surrounded by loving friends and family, died after a brief period of failing health on January 28, 2014 at Wentworth Douglass Hospital, Dover.

Dennis, the youngest of eight, born April 22, 1957 to the late John and Catherine Devereaux. Over his lifetime he resided in Dover, Laconia, Madbury, Rochester and Lebanon. He was also preceded in death by sisters Lesley Devereaux Newhall and Maureen Devereaux Drew. He is survived by brothers and families, Jack of Newmarket, Phillip of Mashpee, Mass., Bob and wife Lettie of Wasilla, Ark., Jim and wife Lisa of St. Mary's, Ga., sister Carol and husband Craig Plumer of St. Mary's, Ga. and many nieces, nephews and families.

Dennis' quality of life was greatly due to the loving care and support given by his extended family of longtime caregivers Beverly Trask of Lebanon, Maine and most recently Manju, Ramesh and Shnehi Karki of Rochester, the dedicated staff of Community Partners, Strafford County, and Dennis' nephew and wife Jeff and Audrey Ouellette of Milton.

Dennis has always been known by those close to him for his big smile and high five sign. Though severely handicapped he knew most how to share his love with others.
