Obit: Mayetta D. Perry ... enjoyed carving

LEBANON - Mayetta D. (Thereau) Perry, daughter of the late Franklin and Alice (Weymouth) Thereau, and sister of the late Kenneth Thereau, went to be with the lord our God on Sept. 25, 2013 at the young age of 68, with her loving husband by her side, after a long battle with COPD. 

Matie was born Feb 27, 1944, in Rochester. Mayetta left behind her Husband of 38 years, John Perry Sr., two stepchildren, Janice Perry of Rochester and John Perry Jr. of Toledo, Ohio, four step-granddaughter's, Katelyn Thereault of Dover, Sarah Thereault of Rochester, Jacklyn Thereault of Lebanon, Maine and Danya Perry of Toledo, Ohio, one sister-in-law Frances, Thereau of Oklahoma, a niece, Cheryl Dube of Oklahoma, a nephew, Wayne Thereault of Oklahoma.

Matie loved horses and dogs; she loved carving carousel horses, which Matie gave to ones she loved. Matie competed in horse show's for many years with her horse Rowdy. She loved the outdoors and to watch wildlife outside her windows; she was a big Red Sox fan. She never had a bad word for anyone and loved everyone she ever came in contact with. 

If there was an angel on earth, Matie was that angel. To know Matie was to love Matie. Remember Mayetta with love in your heart.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Remember Mayetta as the loving person she was. A graveside service will take place at New Cold Spring Cemetery, East Rochester, at a later date.
