Oceans of Fun summer reads can be a seachange for young minds

There is a guessing jar at the Main Desk where patrons can enter a guess of how many taffies are in the jar. Entries will be pulled the last day of the Summer Reading Program, July 29 (Courtesy)

The Children's Room is all-in for the Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program! Stop by and enjoy the displays created by the super talented Children's Room staff. And don't forget to stop by the Main Desk for summer themed surprises, the Teen Room decorated for undersea fun, and the Reference floor with an ocean themed community puzzle!
Main Desk Summer Fun
Guessing Game: How many of you have enjoyed a beach day and brought home saltwater taffy to enjoy? Visit the library and you might not need to go to the beach. There is a guessing jar at the Main Desk where patrons can enter a guess of how many taffies are in the jar. The first entry pulled that is the closest guess will win the taffies and the jar. Entries will be pulled the last day of the Summer Reading Program, July 29.

Golden Ticket: We have a special surprise for our Beach Book readers! Hidden inside some of the books is a Golden Ticket that will win the reader a free copy of The Heart of the Deal by Lindsay Macmillan. We are giving away 11 of these books to the lucky patrons that happen to check out books with a Golden Ticket. And remember, beach reads are enjoyable even without a surprise inside!
