Old-fashioned 4th of July celebrated in Milton

MILTON - The New Hampshire Farm Museum will be putting on a 4th of July celebration on Saturday, with homemade strawberry shortcake, patriotic music, farm animals, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and musket firing demonstrations.

Visitors will also be able to write with a quill pen, play croquet and other old fashioned games and watch costumed role players.

The event runs from noon-4 p.m.

Admission is $7 adult, $4 child 4-17, and members free.
