Staff reports 8:44 a.m.

ROCHESTER - Rush hour traffic was slowed this morning after two pickup trucks collided head-on at the intersection of South Main Street and Columbus Avenue.

The crash occurred around 6 a.m. when police say a 2001 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Paul Walker, 63, of Lebanon was driving south on Columbus Avenue and collided with a 2006 Ford F-150 driven by James Scott, 61, of Dover, who was driving north on Columbus and taking a left on to South Main Street.

The initial investigation revealed that Walker had a green light, while Scott had a red light.

Scott, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered what was described as a nonlife- threatening injury, however no one was transported to the hospital.

Both vehicles sustained front end damage, with airbag deployment.

Police helped direct traffic through the intersection while both trucks were being towed from the scene.
