One injured in South Main Street accident

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was injured on Sunday in a two-car crash at the intersection of South Main and Richardson streets.

According to police the collision occurred around 6:15 p.m. when a 1997 Buick Lesabre, operated by Tina Beasley, 51, of 34 Summer St., was traveling south on South Main Street and was struck by a 2007 Nissan Murano that was attempting to make a left hand turn onto South Main Street from Richardson Street.

The Nissan Murano was operated by another Rochester man: Joshua Hoeflich, 23, of 49 Richardson St.

Both vehicles suffered significant damage and had to be towed. 

Beasley was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what are described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

No citations were issued in the mishap.
