Ossipee man hurt in Milton collision, rollover

MILTON - A two-car accident on the Milton section of Route 153 on Sunday afternoon sent one man to the hospital when his car went into the woods and rolled over.

Milton Police got the call around 2:30 p.m. and upon arriving at the scene found that two cars had attempted to pass a third vehicle in a passing zone and collided.

The vehicle the two cars were trying to pass was not involved in the crash, but the second vehicle, a 1997 Chevrolet Prism, and the third vehicle, a 1992 Lexus, collided, sending the Lexus into the woods where it rolled over.

The driver of the Lexus, Edward Borges, 20, of Ossipee, N.H., was transported to a local hospital with what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Desiree Fisher, 20, of Rochester was not injured.

Both drivers were the lone occupants of their vehicles, which were all headed southbound at the time of the incident.

The investigation into whether either driver might be cited continues, Milton Police Chief Richard Krauss said today.
