MANCHESTER - Parable magazine, the official print publication of the Diocese of Manchester, was named Diocesan Magazine of the Year at the Catholic Media Association's annual conference held virtually last month.

It was one of four first place Catholic Press Awards received for work published in 2020. The magazine won a total of eight national awards.

"We are deeply honored by this recognition of our work to engage, inform, and inspire New Hampshire Catholics by telling their stories of faith and Church," Parable editor Kathryn Marchocki said.

Parable consulting editor and co-founder Gary Bouchard added, "This award affirms the commitment to quality storytelling and faith-inspiring thought that I see in Kathy's leadership, and in our writers and photographers who bring each issue to life."

Parable also took first place wins for Best Bishop's Column in a Diocesan Magazine by Bishop Peter A. Libasci; Best Regular Column-Spiritual Life by Father Andrew Nelson; Best Color Photo by Tom Roy.

Other awards included Second Place for Best Special Section for "Our Faith in Action: Stories that Model Catholic Social Teaching."

Now in its 14^th year of publication, Parable reaches more than 40,000 Catholic households throughout New Hampshire.
