PCR tests show virus positivity rate four times higher than early October

CONCORD - DHHS announced 445 new positive test results for COVID-19, for a daily PCR test positivity rate of 3.7 percent, more than four times higher than it was when the metric was first entered into daily state DHHS updates on Oct. 2.

The new cases include 49 minors and 33 from Strafford County.

PCR positives indicate an active infection, while antigen tests show a past infection for which your body has produced antibodies to fight it.

Local current case numbers show Rochester at 81, Dover at 67, Somersworth at 30, Farmington at 18, Barrington at 15, Milton at 11 and Strafford at five.

There are currently 121 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19.
