Photographer's works on display next month at RMFA

The Rochester Museum of Fine Art recently announced a new exhibition, featuring works by Julie Hamel, in the Mayor Harvey E. Bernier Room, in Suite 135 of the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center.

Julie Hamel is a multidisciplinary maker working with photographic media that speaks of loss and memory.

She received her BFA with honors in photography and a fellowship from the University of New Hampshire in 2010. After living in the South and the Rocky Mountains, she returned to New England and now resides in New Hampshire. She received her MFA in Visual Arts from Lesley University College of Art + Design in Cambridge, Mass., in 2021. Hamel has won numerous awards and has shown across the United States and internationally including Canada, Budapest, England, Greece, and Italy.
