GREENLAND - A preliminary investigation shows that a tractor trailer plowed into a car parked on Interstate 95 North late Monday killing the sole occupant.
The crash occurred around 11:30 near mile marker 11 in Greenland.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Police say it looks like the sedan was possibly parked in the right travel lane of the highway with its lights on when it was struck.
The operator of the tractor-trailer, Milton Junior Anziani-Reyes, 25, of Leominster, Mass., was not injured.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted with closing the right two lanes of Interstate 95 north in Greenland which remained closed for several hours while the crash was being investigated. All aspects of this crash remain under investigation by the State Police CAR Unit and no charges have been filed at this time. Neither speed nor alcohol are suspected as contributing factors in this collision. State Police is requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the investigating trooper, Trooper Nathan Goodwin at Nathaniel.D.Goodwin@dos.nh.gov.
