Police close in on gas station robbery suspects

Suspect 2

Suspect 1

ROCHESTER - Arrests are likely in the weekend robbery at the Mobil Gas Station at 17 Farmington Road, Rochester Police said today.

The identities of the suspects have been confirmed, and arrests are expected, said Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau.

A third person of interest in the case has been identified and interviewed, but no charges are expected against him, Boudreau added.

The two suspects, who Boudreau said are from the Tri-City area, allegedly stole cash from the store attendant who was busy with other customers a little after 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Rochester Police said the suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot toward Farmington.

A K-9 unit was brought in but the track proved fruitless.

One suspect is described as having a slim build and about 5-10. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a light colored stripe on the arms, gray colored pants and a black hat with a flat rim with a Chicago Bulls emblem.

The second suspect is described as having a slim build and approximately 5-9 with light colored hair. He was wearing a blue shirt, a black hat with a Chicago Bulls emblem with a flat rim and jeans.

Boudreau said the investigation is ongoing.
