Police hunt for suspect in sub shop robbery

ROCHESTER - Police are on the lookout today for the suspect in a robbery at D'Angelo's sub shop on Tuesday night.

Police got the call around 8:30 p.m. and responded to the eatery's location on South Main Street where the store's two clerks said that a lone male entered the restaurant, approached the clerks at the counter and demanded money.

The employees said the suspect showed no weapon, but kept his hands in the pocket of his jacket lading them to believe he did.

After fleeing with an undetermined amount of cash the man fled north on South Main. A Rochester Police K-9 unit tracked the suspect for a short time but lost the scent.

The suspect is described as white, between 18 and 30 years old, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-10, with a medium build. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a dark- colored cloth covering his nose and mouth. He was also wearing dark-colored pants

No one was harmed in this robbery and no customers were present in the store during the incident.
