ROCHESTER - Rochester Police today continue to investigate a vehicle breakin at the Gonic Trails on Sunday in which multiple car windows were shattered and a pocketbook and wallet stolen.

The robbery was reported to police around 6:20 p.m. in the parking lot that services the Isinglass Park trails on Rochester Neck Road.

Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said on Monday that the investigation is open and ongoing, but no arrests have been made.

Pinkham said there was a flurry of such breakins at the Gonic Trails parking lots last November, but Sunday's breakin - at least so far - appears to be an isolated occurrence.

The Gonic Trails, owned and maintained by Waste Management, comprise four trails of 1-3 miles in length that wend their way through forested property skirting the Isinglass River.

They are listed as closing at 6 p.m. daily.
